Archaeological Discovery [No.6]

Pontius Pilate

In 1961 an Italian expedition excavating Caesarea Maritima in Yisrael found a stone slab, bearing the name of Pontius Pilate, the Roman administrator who condemned Jesus Christ to death. The inscription also gives his title as "perfect of Judea"....!! Pilate governed the province of Judea from AD [CE] 26 to 36.

This discovery also proves that the description given in the Gospels of Holy Bible is true. All 4 Gospels give a crystal clear view of what happened before Pilate's court.

Even Gospels writers well presented the particulars of Pilate. He tried to make Jesus free, washed his hands to show that he is not judging & condemning Him as a criminal or sinner & gave a headline on the Cross of Jesus, which states.. He is the King of the Jews..

This is one more archaeological discovery.. so one more prove...
